ABOUT ABOUT

URBAN-15’s annual "Holiday Laser Show" is a multimedia spectacular of choreographed laser beams, animation and light effects performed to holiday music favorites and carols. This spectacle, a forty-five-minute presentation, is a family-oriented show with colorful 3D animations and a stunning aerial beam display, making it one the most unique holiday celebrations in San Antonio!
This year, URBAN-15 brings the annual event to a new venue – the Texas A&M San Antonio Education and Cultural Center, which can accommodate up to 400 people!  The two shows occur on Thursday, December 12th, and Friday, December 13th, at 7 pm.  Tickets bought at the door are $15 for general admission, $12 for military, students, and seniors, and $10 for children. Tickets bought in advance are a flat rate of $10.  Online sales will end two hours before each show.

The show is a collaborative work of laser artist Tim Walsh and URBAN-15 Music and Media Director (and skilled composer) George Cisneros. They have collaborated on projects all over the United States, including Cincinnati, OH, New Orleans, LA, Dallas, Houston, Waco and Austin, TX. Other notable presentations include the opening ceremonies of the Texas Sesquicentennial in 1986 at the State Capitol for over 200,000 people, the World Empathy Conference in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and the 2008 and 2009 Luminaria celebrations in San Antonio.

Tim Walsh is also the president of Laser Spectacles, a laser entertainment production company, and president of the International Laser Display Association.  George Cisneros is a also a multimedia artist, with notable works including “the Atomic Spur,” an LED sculpture commissioned by the San Antonio Spurs and the AT&T Center, and “Cascades of Jubilation,” which exhibited in the Memorial Art Museum in Rochester, New York.
