ABOUT ABOUT

The URBAN-15 Group will host the 7th Annual Josiah Media Festival, featuring short films made exclusively by filmmakers under the age of 21. Entries from across the country and internationally will be screened during the three-day event occurring on July 11th, 12th, and 13th.

On Saturday, July 13th, the night will conclude with the awards presentation of $2000 in gift cards to B&H Photo and Video from New York City. There will be awards for “Best in Show” and winners in the categories of Narrative, Animation, Experimental, and Documentary.

URBAN-15’s annual Josiah Media Festival honors Josiah Miles Neundorf, a talented media artist from San Antonio, who passed away in 2006 as a result of osteosarcoma. Josiah expanded the lives of those around him through his brilliance, joy, and determination to create outstanding works despite battling his disease. In honor of this artist, his parents, Marcus and Nancy Neundorf, and the URBAN-15 Group created the Josiah Media Festival, designed to showcase outstanding works by young film, video, and media artists.

The festival is held at URBAN-15’s studio on 2500 S. Presa, 78210. Screenings begin at 7pm each night. General admission is $7, and admission for military, artists, students, and seniors is $5. For more information, contact Jonathan Anderson at URBAN-15 at 210-736-1500, or email [email protected].
