ABOUT ABOUT

The URBAN-15 Group will host the 8th Annual Josiah Media Festival, featuring short films made exclusively by filmmakers under the age of 21. International entries will be screened at the spacious URBAN-15 Studio in San Antonio, Texas, during the three-day festival July 10, 11, and 12.
On Saturday, July 12, the night will conclude with the awards presentation of $2000 in gift cards to B&H Photo and Video from New York City. There will be awards for “Best in Show” and winners in the categories of Narrative, Animation, Experimental, and Documentary.

The Josiah Media Festival honors Josiah Miles Neundorf, a talented media artist from San Antonio, who passed away in 2006 as a result of osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. In honor of this artist, his parents, Marcus and Nancy Neundorf, and the URBAN-15 Group created the Josiah Media Festival, designed to showcase outstanding works by young film, video, and media artists.
Since its founding, filmmakers participating in the festival have gone on to receive acclaim at other festivals worldwide, been the attention of national media, and begun professional careers.
